Informational Meeting
The Response has been overwhelming since the signs went out Monday night. Thanks to all who have e-mailed, requested a copy of Velvet Elvis, or visited the site. We’re trying to respond to everyone in a timely fashion, and get the books out in the next couple of days.
We will host an informational meeting for anyone interested in hearing more about Vintage Fellowship on Tuesday, May 23 from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the Samaritan Community Center in Springdale. The center is just south of the AQ Chicken house in the Mathias Plaza on 71B, on the opposite side of the road from the Popeye statue. Snacks will be provided and a door prize will be given away at the end of the meeting. Join us to have your questions answered and find out how you can be involved in getting Vintage Fellowship off the ground!

I’m sorry to say that I missed your informational meeting. I’m very interested in hearing about how it went, are there any notes or postings you can share at this time from the meeting? For several years I’ve felt there is so much more in Christianity and church. There are many great churches in the area doing great things for Jesus no doubt but I believe things are changing in the church as we know it and your views and approach thus far bears witness in my spirit. I’ve gone through your web site and seems you guys share a lot of the same dreams and ideas that I’ve carried for years… I especially like your view of a “high premium on worship” and your ideas on communicating the word of God, impacting the area, etc… It is exciting to see what you are doing in Lord.
God is a mighty God and worthy to be worshiped!! Thank you for the copy of The Velvet Elvis, very good read so far.
Blessings!!
in Christ,
Michael

Michael,
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. You can check out my initial reaction to the info meeting at my blog: http://crumbsfrommytable.blogspot.com
It was wonderful to meet over 20 new friends that seem very interested and supportive of the Vintage dream on one level or another. Content wise, we basically presented the mission and vision, all the detail that is on this website, just in person. It was a good time for us to get to know the people who’ve been e-mailing with us, and for them to get to know us.
I hope that we have an opportunity to get to meet you soon and that Vintage might be the kind of place at which you can experience the things you need to express and grow in your faith. Preview service #1 is only 2 weeks away . . .
